Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, paving a brighter future for children and teens.

Boys and Girls Club of America is a well-known after school program and organization, but there is a lot of positive attributes that this program contributes not only to students but to the community as well. Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta has served thousands of kids over the past 5 years. Teaching Leadership, Mentorship, and Health and fitness classes to students from all levels of society. Georgia locations have year-round weekday access and summer programs where kids and teens can join the club as a volunteer. B&G Club also serves as a positive safe environment with 25 locations within ten Georgia counties, giving children who live in different communities and counties an equal opportunity to be a part of the after-school program.

The club contributes to charitable causes by hosting events that give back to the community and take donations in efforts to provide for students who attend. In many ways, the Boys and Girls club gives students the opportunity to live a better lifestyle and find their passion for Guidance from the fun-loving staff. The activities that are offered at the club are, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Arts, and crafts and more. The club separates children from teens by having “The teens center” department where kids can interact with other peers within their age group.

As far as partnerships Boys and Girls Club of metro Atlanta is supported and associated with multiple organizations such as Bank of America, Comcast, Ups, Wells Fargo, Toyota, State farm just to name a few. These companies are under a corporate partnership with the club and provide funding and support as nonprofit partners. Funding is usually needed for sports, snacks, and art activities that are provided for the children yearly

As far as academic impact 73% of students who attend Boys and Girls club reportedly make A's and B's in comparison to 69% of peers who do not attend. 91% of club students abstain from marijuana and alcohol as opposed to other students nationally. It is evident that students who attend the after-school program on a regular basis tend to do better than kids who do not attend at all. Boys and Girls Club stays true to their mission of changing and impacting children and teens lives for the better, teaching them fundamental life skills to be successful in the real world. They are certainly making a great impact within the community one child at a time.
